Guide to creating your card images

How to best prepare cards, QR codes or Bar codes

1. Creating a Template for cards ( once)

2. Prepare cards from photos

3. Insert the prepared image in the Template

4. Prepare QR codes & insert in Template

5. Prepare Bar codes & insert in Template

6. Prepare photos
& insert in Template

Note:
For getting the best results, these steps are probably best performed on a PC, using MS Paint or other software.

Transfer the photos from the phone and transfer back the results to your photos special album for the images.

With the right software on the phone use a similar method.



1. Creating a Template for cards ( once)

  • Open MS Paint
  • Click the Image tool icon at the top
  • Click resize
  • Click pixels button

  • Enter your watch screen size values for Horizontal and Vertical [300]

  • Use Save As and Enter Template as the name

2. Prepare cards from photos
  • Open another MS Paint window
  • Open your photo of a card to prepare
  • Use the Image tool and Select the card up to its width and then Crop

  • Click on the Image tool again and then Resize

  • In this example the original is 1837 x 1397 pixels
  • Enter the Horizontal size to that of your watch screen [300] and
  • keep "Maintain aspect ratio"
  • Click ok

3. Insert the prepared image in the template
  • Next Select just your card outline and copy it with the Clipboard tool icon
  • then go to your template window and paste with the Clipboard tool icon

  • Move the Image with the mouse so it is central
  • then use file and Save as to save it as it's final name ready to load on your watch.

4. Prepare QR codes from photos & insert in Template
  • Open another MS Paint window
  • Open your photo of a card to prepare
  • Use the Image tool and Select the QR code with a little border and then Crop

  • and then Crop

  • Resize the largest of horizontal or width in pixels to watch size if there is a border
  • or a little less if no border

  • Press Ctrl+A to select the whole image
  • Use the Clipboard icon to copy [or Ctrl+C]

  • Switch to the template view and paste with
  • Clipboard paste or Ctrl+V
  • and then centralise the image in the window and save with the short name

5. Prepare Bar codes from photos & insert in Template
  • Open another MS Paint window
  • Open your photo of a card to prepare
  • Use the Image tool and Select the Bar code with very little border

  • and then Crop

  • Then resize the width in pixels to to your watch screen width if there is a small border
  • or a little less than the watch screen width, if not much norder
  • then Press Ctrl+A to select the whole bar code
  • Use the Clipboard icon to copy [or Ctrl+C]

  • Switch to the template view and paste with
  • Clipboard paste or Ctrl+V
  • and then centralise the image in the window and save with the short name

6. Prepare photos & insert in Template
  • Open another MS Paint window
  • Open your photo to load
  • Use the Image tool and Select the part you want to see on the watch or all of it
  • Resize the area to the same dimensions as the watch using the same process as for QR code above
  • but imagine the whole photo is a big QR code.
