Basic approach is to use the eWeLink app to save the SSID/password in a device
The device can be a deleted or new device to eWeLink Plug in a device, it enters basic pairing mode - this may not work well A better solution is to use compatible pairing In the eWeLink app tap + to add a device, then The phone used needs to be on a 2.4 GHz WiFi source the password for that SSID needs to be shown or entered Instead of tapping NEXT, tap Compatible Pairing. Now put the device into Compatible Pairing mode This is done holding the button for 5 seconds, maybe twice, until the light is flashing quickly constantly Then tap Compatible Pairing The device should be found and can be configured on the network as it will now have an SSID/password to connect over WiFi It will automatically receive an IP address on the network. It can be accessed and operated by eWeLink Other things that can be done Use the FING app to list devices on your network It will show items such as Espressif and Mac addresses To find the Mac address for the device, In eWeLink, Tap the device, three dots and locate the Mac address Also locate the DeviceID, which can be used with the HttpPost tool Knowing the IP address it can also be pinged Eg. using a command and replacing the IP address "Ping 192.168.1.213" |
